Endless Summer- Week 5

I’m beginning to worry about finishing >.>

Make lemonade

This weekend wasn’t very productive in terms of the list, but we did, in fact, make lemonade. It had that authentic, homemade taste, but was also a bit tart. We did simple syrup to sweeten instead of pure sugar, and I think it did make a smoother drink, but we didn’t exactly to a scientific experiment.

Make s’mores

Last night we also managed to make s’mores. We started with coals in the chimney starter on the grill, which worked very well for concentrating the heat upwards into the marshmallows,  but after a bit the sparks started shooting out of the side of the starter (from the bottom part as the newspaper burned to ash), so I had them tip the coals over into the grill. That way, the heat was far more diffuse, and it became harder to roast marshmallows, but they still ended up tasty.

Chaos accidentally bought Hershey’s with Almonds, so we had Almond-s’mores. Not bad, but not what I’d have chosen myself.

Fireworks (update)

We bought better fireworks! It wasn’t until the guys got home, however, that they mentioned this weird sign, something about “state law” and “must remove fireworks from state within 48 hours”. But that won’t be a problem, right?()-.-

Thankfully we have a trip coming up that’ll take us out of state, so I’ve shipped them out and we’ll catch up with them next week.
